Geocoding Correction

Overview

The geocoding correction services allows a user to "correct" a database of geocoded points. To "correct" means to improve the accuracy of the existing geocode. This is done by re-geocoding the original address or moving the geocode on a graphical map interface to an improved location, such as to the building centroid of a known building. These improved geocodes are stored in the database, as are the metadata describing how the correction was obtained or determined. Documentation is available here.

If you encounter any problems or find any cases where the software fails, we would like to hear about it so we can work to improve the quality of the services. Please let us know.
